Obituary of Marilyn A. Humphrey

Marilyn A. Humphrey passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Marilyn was the loving wife of Arthur G. Humphrey. She was the daughter of Joseph and Stella Candia. Marilyn graduated from North Arlington High School. She enjoyed a 40-year career in Corporate America with the last 13 years with Voya Financial. She retired in 2019. Marilyn was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Whiting, NJ where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Secular Franciscans. Through her years, Marilyn volunteered for many organizations such as Habitat for Humanity of PA, Special Olympics, various food pantries in PA and NJ, to name just a few. Volunteering when Pope Francis was in Philadelphia brought much happiness to her. Marilyn was an avid racewalker, competing in 5K races along with many years working out in the gym. Marilyn also was a member of the Silver Ridge First Aid Squad and Silver Ridge North Bowling League. She was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her sisters, Donna Myers and Deborah Maniscalco and her brothers Joseph Candia and Michael Candia. She especially will be missed by her loving nieces, nephews and her many friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Michael, her sister, Diana Ryan and her sister, Doris Hart. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, August 6th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ.
