Our Principles

The firm was established upon three basic principles:

1. To offer the best available personal service.

2. To offer the fairest prices in the Whiting area.

3. To operate with integrity.

The funeral home opened on November 24, 1979. It was designed to be a modern facility catering to peoples needs no matter how simple or sophisticated. By 1985, the business had grown so rapidly, an addition to the original building was needed. In 1986 the addition was completed. During this time, the partnership with Greg Young had dissolved, making Thomas J. Tedesco the Owner & Manager of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home.

Tom's children later followed in his foot steps. In 1991, his daughter Michelle completed her mortuary training at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ before continuing her education in law school. His son, Thomas, completed his training in 1995.

Today, Manchester Memorial has grown to be one of the most productive funeral homes in Ocean County. Although the firm has evolved, it still maintains it's principles of personal service, fair pricing, and integrity in business practices.
