I don't know if any of you will read this. I just learned from Laura about your mother's passing. I just wanted you all to know how much your mother and father meant to me. They were always so kind and generous to me during and after my high school years.
Your mom and I continued to correspond at Christmas every year, when she would tell me how you all were doing, and I would recount my year to her. Every year, I always ended my letter with my remembrances of Christmases spent with your family. I remember and still prepare your mom's shortbread recipe, and we enjoy your dad's Bloody Mary recipe every Christmas (maybe with a few minor additions-the basic recipe is his!).
I wish you peace in knowing that your mom lived a long and mostly healthy life, and that she thought the world of all of you.
