Obituary of Sally Kerestan
Sally Kerestan, 88, of Crestwood Village 7, Whiting, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at home. Sally was born and raised in Carteret. She moved to Whiting in 1979. She worked for the Nabisco Company, which later became a military ammunition factory during World War II. She was a member of the Slovak Ladies Auxiliary in Carteret. She was a member of Village 7 Women's Club and enjoyed bowling, shuffleboard and other activities at Village 7. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Sally was predeceased by her six siblings. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Donnelly of Forked River and Gloria and Daniel Dempsey of Edison and four grandchildren, David and Daniel Campbell and Kate and Beth Dempsey.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9 a.m., Thursday, April 7 at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
