Obituary of Dominick Patricola

Dominick A. Patricola of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Long Island, NY and Harrington Park, NJ, passed away from complications of a stroke on January 8, 2011. Dom was born May 11, 1928, in the Bronx, NY to James and Vincenza (Jennie) Patricolo. He made his career in the garment industry and retired as a manager at Lord Jeff Knitting Company, Inc., formerly based in Northvale, NJ, a manufacturer and distributor of high quality knit wear. Dom took great pride in his children and grandchildren, Steve (Lucy) Patricola and their sons, Tommy and Robbie of Purchase, NY; Jim (Gina) Patricola and his daughters, Michelle and Kara of Chula Vista, CA; John (Sam) Patricola and his son, Mike of Alexandria, VA; Karen Culviner and children, Bill, Chris and Claire of Colchester, CT and Jean (Ernie) DeRosa and their daughter, Melanie of Westwood, NJ. Dom was particularly proud that all of his children were college graduates. He was preceded in death by Marion, his wife of over 50 years, a dedicated homemaker. Dom enjoyed watching sports and was a loyal Yankess fan. He liked a good trip to Atlantic City and one of the highlights of his week was the Friday night card game with his friends. A memorial mass will be offered on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, NJ, with a luncheon immediately following at La Bove Grande in Lakehurst.
