Obituary of Eleanor Doll

Eleanor L. Baldwin Doll, 89, of Whiting, passed away Monday, December 27, 2010. She was born in Woodbridge, NJ and grew up in Milltown, NJ. Mrs. Doll was a librarian in the Edison Library for many years. She was co-owner of Ye Olde Hofbrau Tavern in Edison with her husband, J. Walter Doll and was active, with her husband, in the Tavern Owners Association. The Doll's moved to Crestwood Village in Whiting, NJ in 1978 where they were very involved in many charitable organizations and other activities. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. In recent years, Eleanor donated many lap robes and scarves for the needy, still crocheting in her 89th year. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Walter Doll in 1989 and her daughter, Bonita Doll Goddard Lyons in 2003. She is survived by her grandson, Raymond Goddard, his wife, Kathy and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Sean Goddard; granddaughter, Marianne Goddard Heller and her son, Seth Hermanski; nieces, Linda Baldwin Chapman and husband, John, Susan Baldwin Coyle and husband, Bill, Lois Doll Cavico and husband, Steve and Darcy Doll Jackson and many, many loving great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
