Obituary of Ralph J. Cordasco

Ralph J. Cordasco, 80, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Wellington Estate in Spring Lake, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Montville, NJ before moving to Whiting. Ralph was a Supervisor in the Clerical Department of Great American Insurance Company, Parsippany, NJ for 38 years. He was a communicant of St. Lucy’s Roman Catholic Church in Newark and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and worked in the Chaplain’s Office at Clara Maas Medical Center in Newark. In 1981 he was ordained as a Deacon at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark and served as a Deacon for the Arch Diocese of Newark at St. Lucy’s Roman Catholic Church in Newark and the Trenton Diocese at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. Ralph is survived by two nieces, six nephews, six great-nephews, five great-nieces, three great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece on the way. Visitation will be Friday, December 3rd from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the church at 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. Donations in Ralph’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 would be greatly appreciated by his family.
