Obituary of Joseph H. Casper Jr.

Joseph H. Casper, Jr., 79, of Crestwood Village in Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 10, 2021. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Perth Amboy for most of his life before moving to Whiting in 2014. He was a member of the Kokes Community Garden in Manchester Township where he spent his time cultivating friendships and harvesting abundant crops of produce that he loved to share. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting where he found comfort practicing his faith. Joe enjoyed reading, watching Westerns and lending a helping hand to his friends and neighbors. Joseph was predeceased by his son, David J. Casper in 1989. He is survived by two daughters, three grandchildren and his former wife. Visitation will be Monday, October 18th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s memory can be made to Kokes Community Garden, P.O.
