Obituary of Eleanor Mae Watson

Eleanor Mae Watson, 90, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at The Pines of Whiting. Eleanor was born in Paterson, NJ and spent most of her married life in Pompton Lakes, NJ, then Toms River and moved to Whiting in 2010. She worked for Estee Lauder in Oakland, NJ for 20 years as a secretary and human resources employee. She was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter’s troops and was a very active communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Pompton Lakes, NJ and upon moving to Whiting was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. She and her husband, Robert traveled around the United States and Europe their entire marriage. Eleanor was predeceased by her cherished daughter, Joyce Watson in 1975 and her dear son-in-law, DC Hunt. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Robert Watson; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Beth Watson of Wyoming, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon Hunt of Oregon, Laura and Edward Renfer of New Hampshire and Carol and Frank Chimento of New Jersey; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Riley and Jessie, Kyle, Erin and Trent, David and Madison, Kevin and his fiancé, Roberta and Anna-Marie and three great-grandchildren, Asher, Joseph and Dakota. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, June 21st from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff and caregivers of the Pines at Whiting and Holisticare Hospice of New Jersey for the loving care provided to Eleanor.
