Obituary of Robert E. Kinzel, Sr.

Robert E. Kinzel, Sr., 88, of Whiting, passed away on Wednesday, May, 19, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Staten Island, NY before moving to Whiting in 2000. Robert worked for Bell Telephone in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY for 35 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Robert was a stamp collector and was a fan of the NY Rangers and the NY Mets. He spent his winters in Florida and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joann Kinzel in 2016; one brother, Thomas Kinzel and one sister, Bertha Williams. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Camille Kinzel, Mark and Mary Kinzel and Christopher and Antoinette Kinzel; one brother, William Kinzel; two sisters, Patricia Berran and Evelyn Goetz; eleven grandchildren, Katie, Robert, Anthony, Mark, Matthew, John, Luke, Nicole, Mary, Emily and Daniel and five great-grandchildren, Amelia, Oliver, Danielle, Leah and Liam. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, May 21st at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 noon on Saturday, May 22nd at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 Saint Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ.
