Obituary of Alexander P. Tortorello, Jr.
Alexander P. Tortorello, Jr., 73, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Red Bank, NJ, he lived in Spotswood, NJ before moving to Whiting seven years ago. Alexander was a sanitation worker for Sunshine Biscuits in Sayreville, NJ. He loved fishing, crabbing, the Yankees, playing pool, video games and watching TV. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting for a short time.
Alexander was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Rachel Tortorello. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Bonnie Tortorello; two children, Evonne McLaughlin and her husband, Duane of Laurence Harbor, NJ and Russell Tortorello and his wife, Dana of South Amboy; two step-children, Gregory Kubina and Kelly Robinson; three brothers, Louie Tortorello of NC, Michael Tortorello of Upstate, NY and Angelo Tortorello of Lumberton, NJ; three sisters, Florence Tedesco of Barnegat, NJ, Rosemarie Butterbrodt of TX and April Reinas of Cinnaminson, NJ; three grandchildren, Amanda Lent of FL, Duane McLaughlin, Jr. of Laurence Harbor, NJ and Jayden Tortorello of South Amboy, NJ; one great-grandchild, Levi Lent of FL and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, March 29th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home.
