Obituary of Leonard J. Prazych
Leonard J. Prazych, 87, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at AristaCare at Whiting. Born in Scranton, PA, he lived in Bayonne, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1998. Leonard was a wireman for General Dynamics in New Jersey for 14 years, retiring in 1996. Prior to that, he worked for Braddock Industries in Carlstadt, NJ for four years. He was a member of Local #3 IBEW in New York City, NY four 19 years. Lenny was a U.S. Army veteran, stationed in Germany. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church’s Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #9852, Our Lady of the Pines in Whiting and the Secular Franciscan Order in Whiting.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia Prazych in 2018; his brother, Richard A. Prazych and his three sisters, Helen Surdey, Leona Prazych and Florence Ciccarelli. He is survived by his three sons, Leonard Prazych of Clifton Park, NY, Richard Prazych of Whiting and Joel Prazych of Richboro, PA; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 13th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. Inurnment will follow at the Chapel.
