Obituary of Antoinette Handy

Antoinette “Nina” Handy, 87, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Crestwood Manor in Whiting. Born and raised in New York City, NY, she moved to Whiting in 1995. Nina and her husband, Vincent were married for 48 years and enjoyed their many travels together. Spending time with her family was what Nina loved most and she shared the joy of travel with her family by taking them on several vacations. Nina will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nina was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent de Paul Handy in 2003; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by one son, Vincent Handy and his wife, Gail; one daughter, Maureen Handy and her husband, David Martine; three grandchildren, Steven Handy and his wife, Allison, Krista and her husband, Joseph Begley and Robert Handy and one great-grandson, Jack Begley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, February 11th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
