Obituary of Paula Shipman

Paula Shipman, 95, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Crestwood Manor in Whiting, NJ. Paula was born in Ulm, Germany and lived there until she immigrated to the United States, with her husband, Kenneth, to Jersey City, NJ in 1948. She was a longtime employee of Pollers Fabric Store in Jersey City where she made many friends over the years. Upon retiring, she resided in Whiting, NJ for 33 years. She was a member of the Crestwood Community and Christ Evangelical Church in Whiting. Paula was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Shipman in 2011; a daughter, Christa Graves in 1997 and 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses, Linda & John Fordyce of Vineland, NJ and Dorothe & Robert Crupi of Edison, NJ; a brother, Siegmund and a sister, Elsbeth in Germany; Her legacy includes seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.. A private memorial and interment will be Wednesday, January 27th at 10:30 a.m. at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ.
