Dear Wanda, Tim, Bernice, Michael Jr. and Lauren, I was so deeply saddened and shocked by the sudden death of Michael. I have nothing but wonderful memories. Our great and often deep conversations which were followed up by his lightheartedness and his practical nature was reflective of the many facets of his personality. I know that he lived life to the full everyday and what a blessing he was to so many. I kept saying to myself that I have got to get down to the beach and pay a visit but time got away from me. There are no words to describe the sorrow Mike and I feel about this terrible news of Michael’s death. Michel was a spectacular friend, full of life. He was “family” to our family. His love of fine food and wine, the Jersey shore, traveling, polkas and his politics will always be in our memories. Our deepest condolences go out to Wanda and his family. So sorry we cannot attend the funeral.

Michael Koch came into my life when he married my longtime friend Wanda. His personality was bigger than life and his heart was solid gold. If you were his friend, which I was lucky enough to be, there was nothing to great to ask him where he would not go that extra mile. I had the pleasure of sharing time and so many life events ,both joyous and sad, with Mike and his family and he reciprocated with mine.
