Obituary of Louis P. Velsini

Louis P. Velsini, 75, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Crestwood Manor in Whiting. Born in Port Henry, NY, he lived in Hartford, NY before moving to Whiting in 2014. Louis was a 6th Grade Teacher at Fair Haven Grade School in Fair Haven, VT for 35 years. During his time there, he was voted Teacher of the Year twice and Vermont’s Outstanding Teacher of the Year. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Louis is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Barbara; his daughter and son-in-law, Elana and David Eng of Manalapan, NJ; his brother, Joseph Velsini of Long Island, NY; his sister, Maria Velsini of Port Henry, NY and his three grandchildren, Daniel, Theresa and Nicholas Eng. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Monday, October 26th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Donations in Louis’ memory to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753 would be greatly appreciated by his family.
