Obituary of Esther T. Hart

Esther T. Hart, 90, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully the evening of Monday, August 24, 2020 at AristaCare in Whiting, NJ. She was born on March 28, 1930, the fifth child of Patrick and Sabina (Cawley) Corbett. She grew up on a farm along a winding country road in Ballycurrin, County Mayo, Ireland with 9 siblings. She attended Kilroe National School and immigrated to New Jersey with her brother, Tom in 1960. Esther worked as a licensed practical nurse at Morristown Memorial Hospital for 33 years before retiring. She was a dedicated nurse and loved to help people. She met and fell in love with a handsome young man, Jack Hart, and was married October 16, 1954 at the Assumption Church in Morristown. She lived in Morris Plains, NJ for 40 years raising her family and Toms River before moving to Whiting in 2001. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. Esther is survived by her beloved husband of over 66 years, John Joseph Hart; a son, Joseph John (Lorene) Hart and daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Peter) Stoumbos; four sisters, Mary Cunningham, Sr. Veronica Corbett, Eileen Farrell, Rose Corbett and a brother, Pat (Evelyn) Corbett; four grandchildren, Michael (Jessica), Brian, Theresa (Russ) and Danielle; four great-grandchildren, Michael, Vivian, Lochlan and Evie and many nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, John, Jim, Tom and Mick. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Thursday, September 3rd at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ. Inurnment will follow at the chapel.
