Obituary of Julius D. Tarr
Julius D. Tarr, 84, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at home. Born in Trenton, he lived in Hamilton Twp. and Cream Ridge before moving to Whiting in 1999. Julius was a steel worker for U.S. Steel in Fairless Hills, PA for 29 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a life member of the Whiting First Aid Squad. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Julius is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Joan Tarr; three children, Mary Ann Tarr-Freeman and her husband, Rick of Hamilton Twp., Thomas Tarr and his wife, Marylou of Sumerland Key, FL and Carol Ann Jones of Strasburg, VA and three grandchildren, Melanie and Peter Jones and Alexia Maynard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. Donations in Julius’ memory to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 would be greatly appreciated by his family.
