Obituary of Lorraine Shubach

Lorraine Shubach, 84, of Whiting, formerly of Metuchen, NJ, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Community Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Shubach; her parents, John and Julia Korycinski; her sisters, Julia Zdorowski, Virginia Prishvalko and Helen Cheke and her brothers, John and Tom Korycinski. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Michael Lyons of Bayville, NJ and her Grand Cats. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances Togneri of Hudson, FL, Clara Gombas of Oneonta, NY, Evelyn Cackowski of Monroe, NJ, Patricia Ragan of Carmichael, CA and Beverly Finger of North Brunswick, NJ and her sister-in-law, Josephine Koller of Parlin, NJ. She is also survived by her beloved goddaughter, Donna DiPane of Kendall Park, NJ as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Lorraine grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ. She moved to Metuchen, NJ to raise her daughter and then to Whiting, NJ 20 years ago. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family and friends. She was a stay at home mom for 18 years until her husband passed away. Then she went on to become a Dental Assistant for many years before retiring. After retirement, she became a “Nanny” to some of her great nephews, which she thoroughly enjoyed. A viewing will be held for family and friends on Sunday, Feb. 2nd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road in Whiting, NJ 08759. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ 08759 on Monday, Feb. 3rd at 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
