Obituary of Marie A. Kandra

Marie A. Kandra, 83, of Whiting, passed away Friday, March 01, 2019.    She was born on Feb. 26, 1936 in Mount Vernon, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Louise Moriello, and sister of the late Joseph Moriello.  Marie was an impeccable homemaker, and was devoted to her family and her strong Catholic faith.  An avid reader and a world traveler, Marie was loving and caring, often putting others’ needs before her own. 

   She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Stephen Kandra; children, Joe (Cynthia) Kandra of North Huntingdon, PA and Maria Kandra of Toms River; and two grandchildren, Alexander and Christiana Kandra.

   A Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday, March 9th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting.
