Obituary of John "Jack" Aloysius Dillon

John "Jack" Aloysius Dillon, 89, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.  Born in Newark, he lived in Roseland, then Toms River for 25 years before moving to Whiting in 2016.  John was a salesman for Datacard in New York City, NY for 30 years, retiring in 1994.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean War.  While living in Toms River, John was a Reader and Eucharistic Minister at St. Luke Catholic Church for over 20 years.  He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.

   John is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Margaret Lynch Dillon;  one daughter, Colleen Dillon of San Francisco, CA; three sons, Patrick Dillon and his wife, Ellen of Hellertown, PA, Joe Dillon of CA and Stephen Dillon of Concord, NH; one brother, Joseph Dillon of Basking Ridge, NJ; one sister, Margaret Comey of FL and one grandson, Alexander.

   Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 13th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.  A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Thursday, Feb. 14th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.  Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at Passionist Missionaries, 111 S.
