Obituary of Marilyn T. Sugrue

Marilyn T. Sugrue, 89, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ.  Born in Orange, NJ, she resided in Newark and Willow Grove, PA before moving to Whiting in 1987.  Marilyn worked for Prudential Insurance Company, Newark for 37 years, retiring in 1984.  She was a member of St. Vincent Academy Association, Newark, the Residents Club of Crestwood Village IV, the American Irish Club and the Prudential Retired Association of Fort Washington, PA.  Marilyn was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church’s Altar Rosary Society.

   A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday, Jan. 15th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, Masses or memorial donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to The Sisters of Charity, Retirement Fund, P.O. Box 476, Convent Station, NJ 07961 or Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, 399 Hudson Terrace, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632.  Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting is in charge of arrangements.
