Obituary of Joseph A. Galietti

Joseph A. Galietti, 95, a resident at The Pines Assisted Living, Whiting, NJ, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at home.  Joseph was born on April 26, 1923 in New York City, NY.  He lived in Guttenberg, NJ, where he was raised, Demarest and Closter, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1993.  Joseph was a Customer Service Supervisor for the Hackensack and Spring Valley Water Companies, now United Water Resources, for 41 years, retiring in 1982.  He served in the U.S. Army during World War II earning a Bronze Star.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Whiting Memorial Post #8745.

   Joseph was predeceased by his devoted wife of 67 years, Angelina Galietti in 2015.  He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Webster and her husband, Joseph R. of Charlotte, NC; a grandson, Joseph A. Webster and a sister, Catherine Ferretti of Yarmouth, ME.   

   A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Thursday, Jan 10th at 9:00 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.  Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
