I miss you Gram. I could be okay all day and then something just reminds me of you and my eyes fill up with tears. Like thinking about my Thanksgiving menu and then remembering I never got your cauliflower recipe and how you would make the best antipasto. Little things like that and then thinking about how you left this world and it’s just not fair. Someone like you should have gone peacefully and it hurts my heart to know you suffered. I know you are at peace now and I have to accept that but it still hurts to think you are no longer here with all of us! You are missed and loved more than you could ever imagine!

Jane and I express our deepest sympathies to the entire family.
The loss of a Mom is a terrible thing and something you never really get over.
Just try and take comfort she is no longer in any pain and is with loved ones who are welcoming her.

Dear Mom,
losing you hurts and I have so many fond memories. Son-in- laws in history have always been known to "hate" their mother-in- laws. There have been so many comedy shows made in which jokes were told by men hating mother-in-laws, but not in our case.
From day one back in October 1995, I came over to your house to meet you with Lisa. I had brought you a present, it was a seashell owl, you loved it. You made me feel so warm and our close relationship was born and lasted 33 years.
We never said a nasty word between us, never a disagreement, never a argument, you were like my own mom..Well, there was one time back in May 1995 in which you did "ROLLED" me, but I deserved it, you pushed me away from my pity party, I went back out into the world and got the job in the industry I still remain in 23 years later, over time I would always joke with you, are you going to "ROLL ME"? and we laughed, but now I cry.
One of the best Christmases I can remember is when you were moving to Maine, I think is was back in 1993, none of us had money to really buy anyone gifts, you included, but you bought my kids a VHS tape of ET. We all were in the cabin that was packed up, we had little, but you made it feel like a lot..
I promise I will take care of your daughter Lisa, your grand and great grand children and I will never forget your kindness, your toughness, your wisdom, and most of all the courage to fight to the end, the love you had for all of your family was amazing mom, please rest in peace you have earned it. Your son-in-law "BO" Patrick.
