Obituary of Gladys Surko

Gladys (Brozio) Surko, born in New York City to Frank and Anastasia (Krolik) Brozio, passed away peacefully in Manchester Township on February 14, 2018.  She was 100 years old. Gladys was predeceased by her husband of 17 years, Gus Surko, as well as all her siblings. 

   Gladys lived in Brooklyn, NY, most of her life.  She had a successful career as a bookkeeper/cashier and proud employee at Pfizer, Inc. in New York City for over 30 years before retiring and later moving to New Jersey.   

   Gladys enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe and Iceland, but spending time with family and friends was her greatest joy.  She will be remembered for her independence, courage and sharp wit.  And she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. 

   Gladys is survived by her two nieces, Diane Soderstrom and Ann McCarthy and one nephew, Reginald Pokallus, as well as many great nieces and nephews.  A Graveside Service will be private.
