Obituary of Marie H. Dougherty

   Marie H. Dougherty, 88, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her daughter’s residence in Whiting.  Born in Newark, NJ she lived in Nutley and North Arlington before moving to Whiting in 2002.  Marie was a supervisor for Kings Court Health Club in North Arlington for many years.    She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.

   Marie was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Dougherty in 1994 and her grandson, Louis Cellucci.  She is survived by two children, Diane Lauritsen and her husband, Ronald of Whiting and William Dougherty and his wife, Andrea of Virginia; her brother, Salvatore D’Alessio and his wife, Marion; her sister, Judith Macchia; three grandchildren, Michelle Cellucci, William (Will) Dougherty and his wife, Stephanie  and Michael Dougherty.  She is also survived by over 114 nieces and nephews.

   A Memorial Mass will be offered Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.  Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
