Obituary of Lois A. Jelinek

Lois A. Jelinek, 75, of Whiting, Manchester, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 18, 2018 at home with family.  She was born January 11, 1943 to Chester and Margaret Boud.  She was raised in Neptune, where she met the love of her life, Edmond Jelinek.  They married and moved to Beachwood.  There they spent 44 wonderful years together before his passing. 

   Lois was an incredible, funny, strong and caring woman.  She was very active and loved to bake, garden, golf, ski, fish, sing, play bocci, go snow tubing and even zip lining.  Most of all she just loved spending time with her family.

   Left to honor and remember her love, are, a daughter, Joyce and her husband, Anthony Marano of Lanoka Harbor; two sons, James Jelinek of Whiting and John Jelinek and his wife, Vickie of Bayville; and a granddaughter, Alyssa Marano, along with many other family and friends.

   Viewing hours will be Monday, Jan. 22nd from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 23rd at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
