Obituary of Ruth H. Mahon

   Ruth H. Mahon, 96, of Edison, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Care One at the Highlands in Edison.  Born in Bridgeport, OH, she lived in Toms River, NJ before moving to Edison in 2017.  Ruth worked in Philadelphia, PA for the FBI where she met her husband, John.  She also worked for a Law Firm in Bradley Beach, NJ.  She was a member of the Toms River Country Club and enjoyed her weekly Bridge Games at the Country Club, coming within one point of a Life Grand Master.  While she lived in Toms River she was a communicant of St. Luke’s R.C. Church.

   Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, John J. Mahon in 2002.   She is survived by three children, Molly Hastings of Milton, VT, Ellen O’Neill of Metuchen, NJ and Rev. Msgr. Dennis Mahon of  Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ; one sister, Patricia Bresnahan of Peabody, MA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

   Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 8th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.  A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ.
