Obituary of Henry C. Douma

   Henry (Hank) Douma, 86, of Whiting, passed away Friday, December 01, 2017 in Whiting.  Born in Midland Park, NJ, he lived in South Plainfield for 25 years before moving to Whiting 22 years ago.  Hank was a social worker for the East Brunswick Township School System.  He was a member of the NJ Starcraft Camper Club since 1975.  He was a very active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Lanoka Harbor where he wrote the church’s Newsletter and was a member of the Book Club.  Hank was also a member of a writer’s group where he wrote many short stories and even published his own book.   He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
  

   Hank is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Anne Douma; one son and daughter-in-law, Darris and Maryellen Douma of Old Bridge, one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Wayne Marcinczyk of Manchester; one sister, Jane Kishbaugh of Manchester; one brother, Robert Douma of Manchester; five grandchildren, Shawn, Caitlin and Brian Douma and Paul and Destiny Marcinczyk and one great-grandson, Ethan James Gosselin.
  

   Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5th at the funeral home.
