Obituary of Thomas Bassett

   Thomas Bassett, 79, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at home.  Born in Jersey City, NJ, he lived in Pines Lake in Wayne, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2005.  He was a Product Engineer for Kulite Industries in Ridgefield Park, NJ, retiring in 2004.  Prior to that, he Owned and Operated Bassett Design & Manufacturing Co. from 1975 to 1989.  Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran.  He was a Ham Radio Operator, W2M call letters and Morse Code Instructor.  He enjoyed trips to New England.
  

   Thomas was predeceased by his beloved wife, Diane Bassett in 2014; his cherished son, Danny Bassett in 2011 and his dear brother, Robert Bassett in 2014.  He is survived by two sons, Steve Bassett and his fiancee, Nancy and John Bassett and his wife, Mary; two grandchildren, Kyle and Corey Bassett and four great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Julian, Kai and Delilah.
  

   Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.  A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Donations in his memory may be made to the Liver Transplant Fund or Gift of Life.
