Obituary of Mary Jane Gros-Petrucci

   Mary Jane Gros-Petrucci, 91, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.  Born in Newark, she lived in Hazlet before moving to Whiting in 1976.  Mary Jane was a food server at the Whiting Elementary School.  Prior to that, she worked at Dimples in Whiting for 10 years and the Tea Room at Bamberger’s in Newark for 15 years.  Mary Jane was a member of the Pine Ridge Social Club, Residents Club, Busy Bee’s and Craft Club.  She was a member of the Village I Residents Club and Social Club. Mary Jane was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and was a member of the church’s Altar Rosary Society.  She was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Nocturnal Adoration Society.
  

   Mary Jane was predeceased by her two husbands, Hans T. Gros in 1988 and Henry E. Petrucci in 2008; one brother, William Rupp in 1974 and one sister, Bernadette Roeber in 2005.  She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Cheryl Gros of Halifax, PA and Fred and Diane Gros of Rockaway, NJ; two step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, James and Janet Petrucci of Dallas, TX and Daniel and Amy Petrucci of Bridgeville, DE; one brother, Gerald Rupp of Rockaway, NJ; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
   

   Visitation will be Thursday, September 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, September 8th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Toms River.
