Obituary of Patricia Ann Laursen

  Patricia Ann Laursen, 75, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River.  Born in Newark, she lived in Leonardo, Port Monmouth and Colonia before moving to Whiting in 2012.  Patricia was a secretary for Rowan Controllers in Red Bank.  She then was a teacher’s aide and later a secretary in the Guidance Office at Middletown Twp. High School North.  She was a member of the Residents Club and Exercise Group of Crestwood Village I.  She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Whiting and was active in the church’s E.C.W.  Prior to moving to Whiting, Patricia was very active in St. Clement’s Episcopal Church in Belford, NJ.
   Patricia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl W. Laursen; four children, Deborah Hettmann and her husband, William, Brian Laursen, Eric Laursen and Christopher Laursen; one sister, JoAnn Smithson and four grandchildren, Rachel, William, Nathaniel and Audrey.
   Visitation will be Thursday, April 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 28th at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Whiting.  Interment will be at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ, Saturday, April 29th at 10:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 180 Route 539, Whiting, NJ 08759.
