Obituary of Kenneth M. Hamilton
Kenneth M. Hamilton, 87, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at home. Born in Flushing, NY, he lived in Whitestone, Queens before moving to Whiting 29 years ago. Kenneth was a Store Manager for A&P Grocery Store in New York City for 40 years, retiring in 1989. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Kenneth was on the Board of Directors in Cedar Glen Lakes. He did the newspaper recycling for Cedar Glen Lakes and showed homes to the new residents. He also volunteered for the local food pantry.
Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Joan E. Hamilton in 2012 and his daughter, MaryKate Hamilton in 2005. He is survived by his children, Mark of Springfield, NJ, John and his wife, Monica of Long Beach, NY, Lori Hamilton and her husband, David Rindone of Bloomfield, NJ, Jeannie Hamilton of Coram, NY, and Michele Hamilton and her husband, Thomas Mollaghan of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters, Patricia Mortenson of Hampstead, NH and Rita Winn of East Windsor, CT and ten grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 19th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 20th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
