Obituary of Harold J. Rea, Jr.

Harold J. Rea, Jr., 71, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at home. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Bayonne, Somerville and Silver Ridge in Toms River before moving to Whiting 3 years ago. Harold was a self-employed furniture refinisher in Bayonne. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Harold & Emma (Benko) Rea. He is survived by two sisters, Patricia Trimblett and Kathleen Zur and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, March 3rd from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 4th at 9 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
