Obituary of Stephen Louis Barone

Stephen Louis Barone, 88, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at home. Born in Carlstadt, NJ, he lived in East Rutherford, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1990. Stephen received his B.A. degree from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, class of 1951. He was an Administrator for Bendix, Burns & Roe, East Rutherford School District and Orval Kent. Stephen was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Sophia Delores Barone; five children, Valerie Barone, Michael Barone and his wife, Jean, Stephen Barone and his wife, Louise, Linda Sue Calbi and Mary Louise Morrone and her husband, Paul; ten grandchildren, Kelly Ann, Christopher, Ryan, Jason, Sarah, Theodore, Mark, Alexander, Stephen and Stephanie and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb 12th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Monday, Feb. 13th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org/donate would be appreciated.
