Obituary of Hubert Tenny
Hubert Stanley (Ted) Tenny, 92, passed away on December 4, 2016. He was born in Bogota in 1924 to Ida Kurten Tenny and Abdul Kader Tenny.
In 1943, Ted enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He served as a radio operator in Paris during World War II and in Greenland after the war, returning home in 1947. He lived in Harrington Park, NJ for many years. Ted owned and operated Ridgefield Park Press. He belonged to the Rod & Gun Club, Branch 7, Bergen County, the Fish & Game Association, and the VFW. Ted and his wife, Peggy spent many winters at their home in Briny Breezes, Boynton Beach, Florida. He was a communicant of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, NJ.
He was predeceased by his first wife, June, and his daughter Elaine. He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Dunn Tenny; two sons, Bruce and Drew Tenny; sister Dorothy Carlson; seven step-children, Kathy Dunn Wilkes, James, Jeanne, Jack, Joseph, Alice, and Michael Dunn; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 17th at 10:45 am at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Aaron Cremation Assoc., Whiting.
