Obituary of Clifford J. Alloway, M.D.
Clifford J. Alloway, M.D., 89, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at home. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Mercerville, NJ until he moved to Millstone in 1995 and then to Whiting four years ago. He was a U.S. Navy combat veteran of World War II in the Pacific Campaign. Clifford graduated from New York Medical College in 1958. He was a Private Family Practice Physician in Trenton and Mercerville. He also worked for St. Francis Hospital in Trenton in the Emergency Room. Clifford loved to fly. He had his private and commercial pilot’s license. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Clifford is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Alloway; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Anne Alloway and Michael and Dale Alloway; one daughter, Marianne Alloway; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; two great nephews and one great niece.
Services are private, under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting. Donations in his memory may be made to doctorswithoutborders.org or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
