Obituary of Theresa Melnyk

Theresa Melnyk, 86, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Harrison, NJ, she lived in Bloomfield before moving to Whiting 15 years ago. Theresa was a homemaker and a devoted Catholic and an active member and contributor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, John Melnyk in 1987 and her son, Thomas Melnyk in 2015. She is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Melnyk and Valerie Llewellyn and her husband, Frank; two sons, John Melnyk and his wife, Maryanne and Michael Melnyk and his wife, Diane; one brother, John Bazydlo; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, March 31st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9 a.m., Friday, April 1st at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
