Obituary of Ailene H Buhl

Ailene H. Buhl, 93, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at AristaCare at Whiting. She was born in West New York, NJ. She lived in Fairview, NJ until she moved to Whiting in 1986. Ailene graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken for 20 years and was Director of Nursing at Polyclinic Hospital in New York City, NY for 15 years, retiring in 1980. Ailene was a member of the Crestwood Women’s Club and American-Irish Club of Whiting. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church’s Altar Rosary Society. She is survived by two nieces, Margaret Dandola and her husband, John and Veronica Masterson and her husband, Richard. Visitation will be Monday, March 21st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, March 22nd at 9 a.m., at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
