BOB (BOBBY) JOHNSON
AGE: 46* WHITING
Bob (Bobby) Johnson, 46, of Whiting, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016. He was a devoted husband and loving father, son and brother. He was born in Keyport, NJ and moved to Whiting in 1978 where he was raised and still resided today. He was self-employed as an auto mechanic. Bob enjoyed hunting, coaching his son’s sports teams and spending time with family and friends, but most of all, Bob loved working on his yard and took pride in having the greenest lawn. He was hardworking, generous, funny and a one of a kind man.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Tanya; his two sons, Bobby and Brian, both of Whiting; his parents, Bob and Carol Johnson of Whiting; his sister, Taryn and husband, Marty Rasmussen and their two daughters, Nikki and Taylor of Manchester; his mother-in-law, Tobey Cole of Manchester. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in- law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many cousins and many friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday February 13, 2016 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a prayer service at 12:00 pm at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Inurnment will following at All Saints Chapel Niche of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Memorial contributions can be made in Bob’s name to a charity of your choice.
