Obituary of Della Picciano

Della Picciano, 93, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she lived there and in North Arlington before moving to Whiting 21 years ago. Della was a seamstress for Benny Benito, Jersey City and did clerical work at Miller Whol, Secaucus. She was a member of the Italian-American Club and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, both of Whiting. Della was predeceased by her sister, Anna in 1948 and her brother, Frank in 1999. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Picciano of Whiting; five nieces, Maria, Anne, Sheila, Lisa and Lauren; two nephews, Vincent and David and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews. A Memorial Mass will be offered Wednesday, June 24th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, Inurnment will follow at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
