Obituary of Elizabeth M. Scavone

Elizabeth M. Scavone, 86, of Crestwood Village I, Whiting, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Whiting Health Care Center. Born in Wallingford, CT, she lived in Greenwich Village and Staten Island, NY before moving to Whiting in 1995. Elizabeth was a dietary supervisor at Carmel Richmond and Clove Lake Nursing Homes in Staten Island. She enjoyed golfing, traveling and sky diving, but enjoyed playing cards and chocolate ice cream even more. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Frank Scavone and her grandson, James Scavone. She is survived two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Philip Glessner and Catherine and Donald Bowers; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jean Scavone and Stephen and Diane Scavone; three grandchildren, Allison and Philip Glessner and Joseph Scavone, as well asmany beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 15th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday, June 16th at 9 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
