Obituary of Elizabeth Noonan

Elizabeth J. Noonan, 96, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Whiting Health Care Center. She was born and raised in Westfield, NJ. She graduated from St. Elizabeth College, Convent Station, NJ, Class of 1936. She was a teacher for Westfield Public Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1976. She was a longtime communicant of Holy Trinity Church and was the Grand Regent of Court Trinity Catholic Daughters of America in Westfield. She moved to Whiting in 1978. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent J. Noonan in 2001 and her daughter-in-law, Maura Clancey in August 2010. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent Gerard and Patricia Noonan, Robert Edward and Deborah Noonan, John Henry Noonan and William Patrick and Candace Noonan; one sister, Rita Parsons; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 and from 9 to 10:30 a.m., Monday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Burial will be at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting.
