Obituary of Barbara Zubrycky

Barbara A. Zubrycky (nee Allen), 74, of WHITING, died on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Van Dyke Hospice, Toms River, NJ. Born and raised in Staten Island, she lived there and in the Poconos before moving to Whiting in 2006. Barbara attended McKee High School in Staten Island. She Married John Zubrycky in 1957 and dedicated her life to caring for her family. She worked for MetLife Insurance for 23 years, retiring in 1997. Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, John; 4 sons, John Jr. of California; Michael of Long Island, NY; Daniel of Old Bridge, NJ; and Darrin of Staten Island, NY; 2 sisters, Gloria (Bunty) Allen of Columbus, OH and Elaine Peterson of Staten Island, NY; 3 grandchildren, Nina Marie LaSalle of Freehold, NJ; and Abigail and Stephan Zubrycky ; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday November 19, 2010 from 10-11:30am at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home 28 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. A Service will be held in her honor on Friday at 11:30am in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in the Brig. Gen. WC Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
