Obituary of Marilyn Cooper

Marilyn F. Cooper, 77, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at the Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Spring Lake Heights before moving to Whiting in 1996. Marilyn was an insurance underwriter for many years in the Jersey Shore area. She coached girl's softball with the Spring Lake Heights Little League. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, John Cooper in 2005. She is survived by one son, Brig. Gen. John B. Cooper and his wife, Linda of Salt Lake City, UT; one daughter, Janet Hankins and her husband, Kevin of Whiting; two sisters, Anne Brodowski and Joan Fredericks; a sister-in-law, Jean Cooper; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday and 9 to 9:45 a.m., Thursday morning at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting.
