Obituary of Floyd Horning

Floyd L. Horning, 90, of Whiting, Manchester, passed away on Saturday, April 17th, at Van Dyke Hospice at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in New York, and resided in Howard Beach, Queens, NY before moving to Whiting in 1985. He worked as an electrical mechanic. Floyd was Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 502, and the VFW Post 8745, both of Whiting. He was a volunteer at C.A.R.E.S. He also enjoyed bowling and billiards. He was also a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Whiting. Floyd was predeceased by his beloved wife Florence in 2000. He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Minutaglio and Gloria Kane; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 10 am to 12 pm, on Wednesday, April 21, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting, with a service at 12 pm. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.
