Obituary of Francis "Rocky" Quinn
Francis E. Quinn, 80, better known as "Rocky", passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River, NJ. Francis was born and raised in Kearny, NJ. He owned and operated, with his brothers, Acme Linen Supply, Kearny for 50 years and was a Kearny Senior Citizen Bus Driver. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the V.F.W. Wilson Gugleman Post #1302, Kearny and a member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Pines Council 9852, Whiting. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Francis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia McDonald Quinn; three children and their spouses, Dennis and Linda, Kevin and Michele Quinn and Patricia and Robert Rowe; one sister, Elizabeth; one sister-in-law, Sonya Quinn and seven grandchildren, Scott, Ryan, Daniel and Patrick Quinn and Robert, Samantha and Bryan Rowe.
Relatives and friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10 a.m., Monday at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Whiting Volunteer First Aid Squad, Inc., P. O. Box 187, Whiting, NJ 08759.
