Obituary of Kathleen Langan

Kathleen M. Langan, 87, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Born in New York City, NY, she lived in Staten Island, Westerleigh, NY before moving to Whiting in 1979. Kathleen was a manager at Abercrombie & Fitch for 5 years, retiring in 1950. She was a US Navy veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Jersey Shore Waves, Toms River, the American Legion Post 502, Whiting and a Librarian at Fernwood Clubhouse, Whiting. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her husband, James J., Sr. in 1977, her son, James J., Jr. in 2006 and three sisters, Josephine, Mary and Rose. She is survived by one daughter, Michele La Tournerie and her husband, Jay of Waldwick, NJ; three grandchildren, Christopher, Erin and Megan and her husband, Tim and one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Layne. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11 a.m., Monday, March 22, 2010 at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
