Obituary of Eva Rever

Eva Viscusi Rever, 93, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009 at Community Medical Center. Eva was born on July 12, 1916 in Ballston Spa, NY. She lived in Dumont, NJ, where she raised her family and was an active communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of the church's Catholic Daughters and Rosary Society. She lived in Holiday City, Toms River before moving to The Pines at Whiting, where she was active in Bocce and the Pine Cone Singers. She was a devoted family person who always remembered special occasions of others with a special greeting card. Eva was predeceased by her husband, John S. Rever in 1986 and her daughter, Judy Rever La Porte. She is survived by two daughters, Terry Rever Norris and Sandra Rever Kropkowski; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be offered, at 11 am, on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations to support her lifelong commitment to animals, especially cats, may be made in her name to FOHA, Friends of Homeless Animals, P.O. Box 2575, Merrifield, VA 22116-2575.
