Obituary of Sr. Kirchmer

Everett "Duke" Kirchmer, Sr., 84, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Whiting Health Care Center. Born in Jersey City, he lived in New Milford before moving to Whiting 20 years ago. Mr. Kirchmer was a mailman for the New Milford Post Office. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances in 1979. He is survived by his companion, Louise Heal; two sons and daughters-in-law, Everett, Jr. and Joanne Kirchmer and Michael and Joan Kirchmer; one sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Eric Williams; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
